2008 Smart ForTwo

Some of the best assets of the 2008 Smart Fortwo are its safety features and its gas mileage and emissions. It is even smaller than the Mini Cooper. While owners may give up something in the way of cargo space, its safety, dependability, and fuel efficiency more than make up for the reduced space.

As far as safety features go, some of the standards items include a unique body shape and construction, which Smart christens as its Tridion Safety Cell. This feature is made of cross members and extruding crush zones, which are designed to leave little to no room for another car to strike a vulnerable spot on the Fortwo. Other safety features include front and side-impact air bags, antilock brakes, traction control, and an electronic stability system.

Concerning emissions and gas mileage, the 2008 Smart Fortwo has an estimated thirty three to forty miles per gallon for city and highway driving. This comes second only to certain hybrid cars. Although premium fuel is the recommended choice for this car, regular can also be used.
